Zach Smith

Zach orchestrated a 1,232% growth for Epic Profit Group by using automated and live webinar sales strategies, establishing residual monetization systems, and by creating advanced CRM (Customer Relationship Management) follow-up sequences.

Zach Smith is Managing Partner at Start Doing Business, LLC.

Zach is a serial entrepreneur. Managing companies as early as 14 years of age, Zach understands small businesses at a core level. His first company still makes him money today.

Zach’s comprehensive experience in running and marketing successful online and offline businesses play a critical role in SDB’s success. Before teaming up with Start Doing Business, Zach was COO of Epic Profit Group, LLC.

He grew the company from $30,000 a year in gross profit to over $1 million dollars per year profits in just a 7 month time period.

In 2011, Under Zach’s leadership, Epic Profit Group received 3rd Place at the prestigious Utah Student 25 competition. Out of all student-founded companies in Utah, Epic Profit Group was the third most successful and most profitable for 2011.

As a student entrepreneur, Zach says he had excellent opportunities to network with established business leaders. “I have been able meet with many influential decision-makers and business owners that I never thought I’d have the chance to meet, let alone do business with,” he says. “Now, I’m actually able to offer guidance and provide consulting to them and their businesses. It’s been very humbling and exciting at the same time.”

Zach graduated from Weber State University in 2011 with an Accounting degree. He changed his major three times while exploring various career paths. “At that point, I decided to take a big risk and try to make money doing something I loved,” he says, adding that the decision proved to be personally and financially rewarding.

“Never give up,” Zach advises would-be entrepreneurs.” I worked for very little money, putting in very long hours for nearly two years. There were days and sometimes even months when it seemed like what I was doing was not going to work.”

In the end, all of his hard work paid off.

Now, he helps small business owners and entrepreneurs grow their own businesses.

He consults for companies generating over $100,000 per month.

As a self-published author, and frequent blogger, he’s regularly sought after as a public speaker for events both large and small.

Marshall’s passion is people, their products, and the businesses that bring them together.

A designer at heart, Marshall sees business as the ultimate form of creative expression.

After graduating, Marshall was mentored by twice-made millionaire and one of the state’s top 50 under 50 entrepreneurs, Gregory Schurn.

Soon after leaving his first mentorship, Marshall became a partner in Agile HG, a consulting company.

“I couldn’t ask for a more satisfying career,” explains Marshall, “there are days I can’t believe I’m doing what I’m doing.”

Marshall has done work for companies including HP, Logitech, Gura Gear, and Lehman Brothers.

In December of 2013, Zach bought out Marshall’s equity in StartDoingBusiness.com for an undisclosed amount.
